Like the other tension settings, the band clamps the diamond between small grooves cut into the side walls so that it is held even more firmly than by normal settings. The offset allows for bigger stones to be accommodated or can just accentuate the diamond like this one. Each ring is individually designed for the exact dimensions of your stone. The ring above is based specifically on the .5 carat diamond; your sizing will vary.
