Tantalum

Tantalum is a rare element next to tungsten on the Periodic Table. It is a very hard and heavy metal that has a unique gunmetal gray color.  It is biocompatible and is not brittle, is nonferrous, and is nonmagnetic.  It is considered safe in an MRI machine. It melts at 5463 degrees Fahrenheit and is used in super alloys in jet engines.  It is conflict free and is a great metal for jewelry.  It is very expensive, so we don't have hundreds of samples like titanium ones.  Just contact us to see if we can do special request.  We can do inlays of all types and combine it with precious metals for even more possibilities.
